YouTube Music starts to roll out globaly!

YouTube Music has expanded its podcast support beyond the United States after its initial launch in late April. Users worldwide can now access podcasts through the "Podcasts" category in the Home tab, alongside other mood filters. This category provides a dedicated feed with various carousels such as "Keep listening," "Recommend episodes," and "Your shows," as well as different genre categories like Gaming, True Crime, Political Commentary, and more. Similar podcast suggestions can also be found in the Explore section.

In addition to the existing high-level filters for Playlists, Songs, Albums, and Artists in the Library tab, Podcasts now joins the lineup. This means that users can easily filter and access podcasts alongside other audio content. The Library tab includes an Auto playlist specifically for "New Episodes" from subscribed shows, as well as a collection of previously saved "Episodes for Later." Subscribed podcasts will be displayed in the Library section, similar to how songs, albums, playlists, and artists are organized.

The Now Playing screen in YouTube Music offers convenient features such as a 10-second rewind and 30-second forward button, playback speed control, and a sleep timer. The "Details" section replaces the Lyrics feature at the bottom, providing additional information about the currently playing podcast episode.

The pages dedicated to shows on YouTube Music resemble albums and playlists, complete with artwork and a comprehensive list of episodes. Additionally, these pages provide important details such as the publish date and playback status of each episode. By tapping on a show, users can access the complete description and have the ability to save episodes for later by utilizing the bookmark button or downloading them for offline listening.

Offline playback and background play are now accessible to all YouTube Music users, even without a YouTube Premium subscription. This means that users can enjoy their preferred podcasts even without an internet connection or while simultaneously using other applications on their devices. It is important to note that all users will encounter host-read endorsements or sponsorship messages while listening to podcasts on the platform.
