Apple is reportedly close to finalizing a deal to acquire the technology and key staff of the computer vision firm Prompt AI, as per a recent CNBC report.

The report indicates that the acquisition is nearly complete, with Prompt AI’s leadership conducting an all-hands meeting on Thursday to discuss the upcoming agreement and outline the transition process for employees. During the meeting, executives informed staff that those not moving to Apple would receive lower pay but were encouraged to apply for open roles at the tech giant.

Additionally, CNBC noted that while Prompt’s investors will receive partial compensation from the deal, they will not fully recover their investments. Employees were also advised not to reference Apple publicly—whether on professional platforms or in personal conversations—until the acquisition is officially confirmed.

Prompt AI is best known for its flagship product, Seemour, an AI-powered system that enhances security cameras by identifying individuals, pets, and objects around the home. It provides real-time alerts, text-based summaries of unusual activity, and even answers questions about what’s been captured on camera.
